Can you give a brief description of your business and what you offer customers?
We are an independent specialty toy store that offers a carefully curated collection of toys for kids of all ages. We offer personal shopping assistance, free gift wrap and delivery.
How long has your toy store been in business, and what inspired you to open it?
The store has been open since 1995 and the owner thought Houston needed a specialty toy store.
What makes your toy store unique compared to other toy stores in the area?
Our staff, service and special events are some of the things that set us apart from other toy stores. We are active in the community and like to think of ourselves as a “neighborhood toy store”.
Can you describe the range of toys and products you offer in your store?
We have products that are safe and appropriate for ages zero to adult. Our store is primarily divided into categories such as: Games, Puzzles, Books, Arts & Crafts, Dress up, Educational, Construction, Trains and Vehicles, Sports and Outdoors and more!
Do you specialize in any particular types of toys or cater to specific age groups?
We try to focus on toys and books that are educational or stimulating in a hands on, screen-free way. We believe that no one should outgrow having a sense of wonder so we try to stock our shelves with toys and gifts for all ages.
What is your best selling toy or best selling type of toy?
We do really well with construction toys such as Lego and Magnatiles but also sell a lot of games which are great family fun. Our largest department is Preschool toys which is divided among small electronic toys and wooden toys. Brio trains and Bruder trucks are favorites as well.
Do you organize any events or activities for children, such as storytime or workshops?
We are constantly finding new ideas for events and contests for kids. During this month for example, we are hosting our annual Lego building contest where kids build their own Lego creation for a chance to win prizes. On Saturdays this summer we are featuring free fun family events such as crafts, game demos, Kendama meet-ups, scavenger hunts, author meet and greet and much more. Can you share more information on your Pokemon card trading events?
We just started doing a monthly Pokemon trading event which is on the last Wednesday of each month and we invite kids to come and trade in a safe environment. We do require a parent to accompany each child but we also have a person on staff who can trade with the kids and help keep things organized.

We are in the heart of Rice Village, on the corner of Rice Boulevard and Morningside Dr. 2401 Rice Blvd.
